Are you looking for a project management position that will allow you to improve and learn new skills? Blox Construction, an award-winning general contractor, seeks a Project Engineer to join our growing team. You will work under the supervision of a Project Manager and/or Principal and perform a variety of project coordination tasks to support the delivery of projects to clients.

The Job:

  • Learn, understand and adhere to company safety policies and programs, including the ability to independently stop work for a safety violation or suspected safety violation
  • Assist the Project Manager with subcontract negotiation and administration
  • Assist in preparing job schedules
  • Monitor production schedules, subcontractor schedules and cost control to ensure completion date, job costs and profit level
  • Correspond with clients, architects, and designers

This position’s requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 1 to 5 years of residential or commercial construction experience
  • Knowledge of construction techniques and the imagination to derive the most efficient method of completing a task
  • Ability to read blueprints, reference calculations and understand structural details and plan specifications
  • Proven leader with strong communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Self-starter and results driven
  • Ability to foster collaboration across project & design teams
  • Proficiency in Procore and MS Project a plus

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, mobile & cloud based technologies
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record and reliable transportation
  • Drug-free and the ability to pass a background check
