Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support the Project Management Staff with day to day operations.  APM will assist with client communication ranging from Budget Reporting, Change Requests to Meeting Minutes and product research.  APM will also act as the main point of contact and responsible party for RFP packages and other Subcontractor Communication as needed. Reports to the Senior Project Manager (Office).

Focus Areas:
The APM’s duties will focus on the following:

    • Achieve accountable, accurate and consistent communication with Clients and PM Staff relating key project information such as:
    • Job Cost Reporting
    • Schedule / Job Status Reporting
    • Meeting Minutes
    • Client Requests / Change Notices
    • Generate Specification Documents outlining products, methods and means specific to each project.
    • Collaborate with PM Staff to create Project Estimates using current, assumed and historical pricing data.
    • Work with PM Staff to generate RFP packages and distribute to Subcontractor / Vendor / Supplier Base.
    • Foster meaningful relationships with Subcontractors, Vendors and Suppliers to obtain favorable pricing.
    • Issue Purchase Orders authorizing work or purchases.
    • Participate in companywide safety initiative, potentially leading the in-office effort as abilities increase.
    • Act as key Administrator of Subcontracting. This will include interaction with team members to obtain current Insurance Certificates, Current / New Subcontracts etc.

Desired Skill Set:
The APM should have the following skill set:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
    • Specific advanced skill in Excel
  • Advanced skill operating Project Scheduling Software
    • Microsoft Project preferred
  • Familiarity with the process of constructing Custom Homes / Extensive Remodels through education or experience
  • Familiarity with construction materials and products used in the finish of homes.
